Located in South Austin, Sonar Beauty Salon provides haircuts, hair coloring, balayage and ombre hair services along with facial waxing and a blow dry bar. They are also an award-winning bridal hair and bridal makeup salon with amazing reviews on The Knot and Wedding Wire.
What They Needed
They had tried a few do-it-yourself, template-style website builders like Wix and Squarespace but were never completely happy with the results. They could never capture the personality of the salon and the SEO was lacking. Sonar Beauty needed a custom solution.
Kulture to the Rescue
One of the biggest problems with a lot of service websites is their reliance on stock photography. While stock isn’t inherently bad when used sparingly, it can quickly make a site look generic when overused. For a salon like Sonar, where the charm and personality really set them apart, stock photos are a deal breaker.
Design and Develop the Website
After taking photos of the salon, some action shots, and the staff, we designed a website that captured their vibe and put an emphasis on the services that they offer. One of the biggest improvements was expanding the wedding page and integrating a detailed form for bridal inquiries.
